With the theme “Bridging Technology Gaps, Enhancing Value Chains”, the Open Innovation Day 2024 (OID 2024) is designed to bring together government policymakers, industry stakeholders, academic innovators, and startups to develop innovative solutions to pressing challenges impacting Vietnam’s economic development be it nationally, provincially, or within an industry. Engaging the relevant stakeholders in solving these challenges. By doing so, the event aims to address barriers to Vietnam’s economic development and elevate its position in the global value chain. This event also seeks to align and bridge the gap between economic and environmental development goals, fostering digital and green transformation across various sectors.
Open Innovation Day 2024 (OID 2024) is an initiative founded by the National Agency for Technology Entrepreneurship and Commercialization Development (NATEC), Ministry of Science and Technology and is organized by the Open Innovation and Technopreneur Institute (OITI) in collaboration with SoiHub, the Asian Development Bank (ADB), Saigon Telecommunication & Technologies Corporation (Saigontel), Management and Sustainable Development Institute (MSD) United Way Vietnam, Shinhan Square Bridge Vietnam, etc. The program is supported by Qualcomm, the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), Business Finland, Kusano, and more.

The participation of ADB (Asian Development Bank) and UNDP (United Nations Development Programme) are expected to bring pioneering ideas and new solutions to address global challenges, foster comprehensive innovation, and sustainable development.
